Over the past 20 years, the Chatham Environmental Forum (CEF) has addressed complex issues, such as air quality in the Savannah area and its potential impact on community cancer rates, and the long term protection of the Floridan aquifer as the area’s primary drinking water source. For each issue undertaken by the CEF, the final analysis has been a consensus product based on the best available science with recommended solutions that all sectors within the community could support.
Sierra Club's Kickin' Coal Kickball Kicks off July 23rd at Forsyth Park
The Georgia Chapter of the Sierra Club is bringing its own red ball to talk about the water consumption of coal-generated electricity and play a mean game of kickball. The event will start at 9am in Forsyth Park with coffee and light breakfast chow provided by the Sentient Bean, and will segway into expert-led discussion on water conservation and the Georgia Statewide and Regional Water Plans with a kickball game to launch at 10am. Come ready to have fun, and of course, bringing your own mug and arriving by alternative transportation is encouraged.
